2012 Festival Scholarships

Thank you all. Unfortunately, the scholarship deadline has passed.

Please see our Volunteer page for other ways to get involved.

Split This Rock is committed to diversity of all kinds. If a scholarship would help make your attendance possible, please apply.

Scholarships will be given based on economic need, with a particular emphasis on youth and seniors, poets and activists of color, poets and activists with disabilities, and poets and activists from other marginalized groups.

A scholarship to the festival covers the registration fee only. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to help with transportation or housing. We will post "where to stay" information regularly on our website, with as many low-cost options as possible.

To apply, please write us a brief letter or email (no more than 250 words) telling us about your background, work, organizational affiliations (if any), etc. Describe your circumstances and why a scholarship would be helpful. We don’t need to see poems or a résumé. Please include full contact information: your full name, email, phone number, and mailing address.

Send the letter to lavallee@splitthisrock.org or mail to:
